Update: New Pieces Added!
Well it has been a while since we had an update and a very busy and hectic while it has been. Light can be seen at the end of the tunnel and all is going as smoothly as it can at this point.. So...Here's an update!
I have added 4 spear points to my In Stock Pages. These are hand forged from 1060 and mild steel, slow browned and wicked. Please feel free to take a look..these are being sold less the shaft. Believe me there is very little to do to mount a spear head on the shafting. I even drilled the retaining pin/screw hole for you!
Now I have been warning everyone that this day was coming and it is HERE! The LAST of the Japanese style blades are up...In fact I am starting to hybrid-ize the ones I have left I am so done with doing these. There is a very nice O-Katana, a O-Katana and Wakizashi that would make an excellent Dai-Sho (they are available separately but I would like to see them go as a set as they are consecutively numbered...please contact me for the combined price), and an EXQUISITE No-Dachi ..a HUGE sword by any definition of the word. All are Gen III blades showing superb Hada and very active Hamon.
As with everything we do..additional photos are available by request..
What is coming up: Throwing axes are getting ready to go into the brown and in the mean time..a batch or two of rail road spike knives of various sizes and styles will be posted shortly..
So take a look and see if anything strikes your fancy and thank you for the interest and continued support..it is GREATLY appreciated.

Update, Japanese Series and Stuff in General
Sorry that I have been out of the loop for the last two weeks. There were some health problems that needed addressed. To those that are expecting items that they purchased and have due to you, they are going out in the next three days. You all will get tracking numbers as they are available from FedEx or USPS. I do thank you all for your patience in this. I am back in the game now and things are much better.
On the Japanese series. As I have posted in the past these are pretty much history. All that I have left that I will be finishing up in the next two weeks or so are as follows:
A Dai-Sho in silver/black Gen III .......... A couple of Tantos
A Gen III Katana in Red/Black..............A Gen III Katana in Gold/Silver leaf
MAYBE..IF I feel like it..and it's a BIG IF as the amount of polish on this is horrendous... A No-Dachi..this is a Gen III blade..36" long..a MONSTER of a sword. I still have to make up my mind on whether or not I am going to finish this one. IF I do finish it..the blade should be exquisite as it is already showing a great deal of activity in the rough state it is presently in.
So..other than what is mentioned above..that is IT for the Japanese series. To those that have been so kind as to purchase one of these limited pieces I say THANK YOU. While I still have some numbers left in the series, I do not know when (if ever) I will finish them up. Frankly I am very tired of doing these and slicing myself to ribbons polishing these things out. Unless the Spirit of God moves me to do otherwise...do not expect to see any more Japanese stuff for the next few years at least (if ever again..unless I uncover a piece that I put away that is too close to being done to hybrid out...)
Onto the general stuff. I am starting up a batch of axes, swords and something I haven't made in like 6 years..Spear tips. There are also some war hammers on the horizon as well as various other pieces. I will be putting up the remainder of the pattern welded blades I have from RPFS in the next couple of days as well. So take a look every now and then.
In closing, thank you all for your time and visiting us here at Salamander Armoury.
Four Pieces Posted...
I just posted 4 pieces, two swords and two "Hybrid" laminated blades. The Hybrid blades are under my "Weird and Wonderful" section..So please take a look and see in anything interests you.
I will be posting several more pieces, three pattern welded daggers as well as three of the remaining Japanese style blades here shrortly. These will be two tanto and one "ken" style..Very nice..all with laminate blades.
On the remaining Japanese pieces. I have taken inventory of what is left..and there isn't much. I do have a dai-sho of a Katana and Wakizashi that I will be finishing, along with a No-Dachi and another sword length piece that may or may not be mounted . I have one other blade that I will be using in a Backsword style mount sometime in the next few weeks. The Japanese stuff is finished as far as I am concerned unless I get a bug in my ear to make a limited run as I still have a few numbers left in the series of 125. But for now..all gone once these last few are up.
What is coming. I am doing a run of throwing axes as well as RR spike knives.. These will be up as soon as they are ready. The slow browning takes a little while so expect the axes to be up in about two weeks or so...
All in all..thank you for your time..
Best to you all!!
