Item No. 02 is a Ladder Patten "flame" bladed dagger. This is something that I usually do not make very often, and this piece is one of a lot on a custom order of several of what were to be matched pieces. These were intended to be gifts from the Groom to his Best Man and his Groomsmen. i don't now the details but the order was canceled and now I have to fall back to plan 'B" so I am gong to finish these up n various mounts and list them here.

Blade  is welded from 1095 and L6 steel with bold patterning. Blade length is 7 1/2".

The patterning just "jumps up" from the blade. The man who placed the order wanted a "Bold" patten that would be easily seen..

The one piece grip is some of my "fossilized" bone and is set with phosphor bronze studs with phosphor bronze guard and pommel plate. This is a WICKED looking dagger, and a design that is not only a "classic" but also one that is seldom seen today. Overall length is 12 1/2". Black leather sheath
