Item No. 01 is one of my last Japanese style blades I did for my 4th book..  I have 2 wakizashi, 2 tanto and  3 Katana blades left..All three remaining katana blades are uno-kobe-shobu zukuri but this one is Shinogi Zukuri. 1070 steel,  27 3/4" long blade with one full length Bo-Hi on each side... Blade is EXCEEDINGLY sharp.

This sword has a wonderfully "solid" feel to it and is quite responsive. This is a very NICE sword and believe me once these other blades are finished NO MORE,...I never want to see anther one of these again..(I do not have any idea as to when, if ever I will finish these remaining bare blades.)...

The Hamon is quite vibrant and shows  some very nice activity.

The tsuba and kashirae are in a "Dragonfly" (Tonbo) motif done in darkened bronze with gold and silver leaf details.

The tsuka is black same-gawa under grey tsuka-ito and is 10 1/2"in length. It is secured by two (2) mekugi (pins)

The siya is wood and finished in black lacquer under grey cracked lac and is sealed with 6 coats of hard, clear lacquer.

With an overall length of  39 3/4" thios sword is ready to go. Tghis is an eleganty blade and will mnake a great addition to a collection or for a sword enthusiast.
